I got a 68 Dodge Monaco I am building to run a pretty well stock show. I plan to notch it just behind the leaf sprinf shackes int eh back and tuck the trunk lid. I have had very good luck with the assend of My Mopars when built this way.

They always roll in nicely and if you have the humps chained down tight they won't blow out after it rolls in. On the front I am going to use a Newport flat bumper and the chrysler bumper shocks. I am going to cut the mounting plates off of the shocks and then burn a hole in the front of the Y on the frame. I am then going to slide the shock back in the hole and turn the bracket on the back up so it can be bolted through the top of the frame. Then I will weld it all the way around on the front. Then I will cut the stock bumper mounts off of the back of the bumper and weld it straight to the shocks. I will ofcourse cut off the stock ends on the shocks and weld on 4x4 square plates. Then I will run a four point cage, bolt the fenders and quarters and that is about it. I think it will hold up good for what it is. I think sinking the shocks inside the Y should be a good thing. What do you guys think?
